"You're either attaching to your thoughts or inquiring. There's no other choice." Byron Katie
"Any story you tell about yourself causes suffering. There is no authentic story." Byron Katie
"Wisdom is simply knowing the difference between what hurts and what doesn't hurt. There's immense freedom in that. It doesn't mean you have to do the right thing. It just allows you to do what you do with some awareness. One way leads to suffering; the other way leads to peace."
I am here to help you end your suffering.
The Work of Byron Katie is a way to identify the thoughts behind all your suffering, and then to investigate one thought at a time. The Work is meditation. It's an opportunity to ask, wait and listen for our heart to answer. Is it true? We may have been believing "something is wrong" or "if only ------ were different, I would be happy" our whole life. Inquiry invites us to notice what happens internally when I think that thought? It's a doorway to realize that my suffering is really coming from what I am thinking...and not from anything outside me. It's a safe, compassionate space to allow all feelings to live and be expressed...feelings that may have been waiting 20, 30, or 40 years just to be honored...and allowed to pass through.
All negative thoughts are gifts. Until I come to see this, I am at war with my own mind!
Pain is a gift telling me my thinking is confused. Inquiry is the path to our own inner wisdom...ever present, ever available, ever sane...the Heart that lives us all. The Work is not positive thinking. It's a time and place to slow down and consider what is truly authentic for you.
It is my deepest desire to facilitate you in doing The Work and finding freedom from pain, guilt, fear, shame, anger, and sadness. Why work with a facilitator?
